No. 0000 } Welcome
If you’ve found your way here, you’ve stepped into the middle of a process.
The Inky Florilegium is a daily practice of observation. It is a growing index of botanical studies, released one specimen at a time, focused on the "messy middle" of the drawing process.
I began this archive because I wanted to move away from the pressure of "perfect" botanical illustration and return to the curiosity of the 17th-century flower-books—where the goal was to record the personality, the oddity, and the sheer aesthetic pleasure of a plant.
What to expect here:
A Daily Specimen: A new ink study is added every morning.
Observation over Accuracy: These are expressionist explorations. You’ll find wilted stems, stubborn thorns, and plenty of accidental ink splatters.
Hand-Lettered Notes: Brief, curious thoughts from the studio floor.
This isn't a gathering of scientific facts; it's a legacy of form and feeling. I invite you to watch the archive grow and find a bit of quiet rhythm in these inky marks.
Thank you for looking.
